The design of these ice boots is what makes them special. The outer material is limestone-based neoprene, an insulator that helps hold and maintain the cold longer and won't absorb moisture. On the inside, the multiple elastic pockets allow customized therapy for each horse because the accommodate various amounts of ice in each pocket or localized therapy by using specific pockets. Theses pockets eliminate the trauma caused by putting ice directly on the horse's skin because the cold slowly permeates the elastic, allowing the horse to gradually feel the cold. Because of the elasticity of the neoprene, Ice Boots are reusable for hundreds of applications.
